Anionic Surfactants
ERS 2 EHS ve ERS 2 EHP, They are low foaming anionic surfactants with excellent wetting properties and superior stability in the electrolyte, alkali and acidic systems. It is a hydrotropic wetting agent suitable for use in the production of liquid detergents for domestic and industrial use, such as hard surface cleaners and alkali and acid metal oil solvents.
ERS 2 EHS
ERS 2 EHS is an aqueous solution 2-ethylhexyl sulfate. It is a unique wetting assistant.
Its solubility, stability, and penetrating action in strong acidic and alkaline solutions containing 10 to 20 percent of dissolved electrolyte.
ERS 2 EHS possesses very good hydrotropic properties and improves the spreadability of liquid cleaners particularly on hard surfaces.
ERS 2 EHS can be used as a raw material for wetting agents in alkaline media. It can be used as a hydrotropic substance in the formulation of liquid cleaners.
Applications
FOUNTAIN SOLUTIONS
ERS 2 EHS is a unique ingredient in the formulation of offset printing fountain solutions.
ELECTROLYTIC CLEANING
The addition of 0.1 to 0.25 percent of ERS 2 EHS to the electrolytic solution decreases the surface tension of the solution and facilitates the release of hydrogen gas bubbles from the surface of the metal.
LYE WASHING & PEELING VEGETABLES & FRUITS
In the commercial process of lye washing and lye peeling of fruits and vegetables.
HOUSEHOLD & INDUSTRIAL CLEANERS, WALLPAPER PENETRANT
In the commercial process of lye washing and lye peeling of fruits and vegetables.
AGRICULTURAL USES
ERS 2 EHS is an excellent coupling agent for inorganic salts that are incorporated in organic solvent-water mixtures.
MERCERIZING
ERS 2 EHS promotes extremely rapidmercerization of gray cotton goods.
METAL ALKALINE CLEANING
The addition of ERS 2 EHS to alkaline degreasing baths reduces the cleaning time and the concentration of alkali required.
PLATING
Added to a bright copper plating bath, 0.2 percent of ERS 2 EHS effectively eliminates much of the pitting caused by impurities.
PICKLING
ERS 2 EHS promotes extremely rapidmercerization of gray cotton goods.
MOLDING
Addition of ERS 2 EHS, sand decreases the mulling time and results in sand of more uniform size for use in making casting molds and cores.
ERS 2 EHP
ERS 2 EHS is highly versatile surfactants offering a wide range of properties and applications. The main advantages of ERS 2 EHP over many other surfactants are their alkali stability and solubility. They are excellent hydrotropes and are effective coupling agents which give outstanding wetting, emulsification and detergency. As such they are used widely in emulsion polymerisation, textile auxiliaries, maintenance chemicals, metal finishing, and many other applications.
Being stable in high concentrations of alkali, they are especially useful in household and maintenance cleaning products, where high active heavy duty products are required.
